Pneumatic Cylinder Tubing

FIBREFLOW™The global standard in composite cylinder technology

75% lighter. Zero corrosion. A polished, self-lubricating bore that outlasts honed steel, engineered from the fibre up.

Overview

A composite alternative to steel, stainless & aluminium barrels

Fibreflow composite pneumatic tubing is constructed of E-glass and a thermoset epoxy matrix, with an ultra-smooth polished inner surface. It's a lightweight, high-strength, corrosion-resistant replacement for honed and chromed steel, stainless steel, and aluminium cylinder barrels.

Because we wind it ourselves, every variable, wind angle, resin system, wall schedule, bore finish, is engineered to your application. That's something a distributor simply cannot offer.

Why engineers specify Fibreflow

−75%
Weight reduction
A quarter of steel, 25% under aluminium. Less handling, faster assembly, lower stress on connected parts.
0
Corrosion
Trouble-free in chemical, high-moisture, salt and chlorinated environments.
1M+
Stroke cycles
Self-lubricating bore prevents sticking even after months idle. 1,000,000+ strokes, no seal change.
5–15
Ra micro-inch
Smoother than honed steel, without the honing cost.
40
Izod ft-lbs
High impact strength. Retains circular shape, it does not dent.
±
Thermal stability
Very low thermal expansion. Efficient from −45°C to +121°C.
Non
Non-magnetic
Enables external magnetic sensors. Transparent to x-ray, radio and TV.
JIT
Stock ready
Held to meet JIT, MRP or Kanban requirements.
